From Heroes of the Great Tree

Anne-Marie Farms was so inspired by the original Aeroette, a heroine during World War II, that she didn't let a lack of powers stop her. The brilliant Anne-Marie invented a suit of steam powered armor that duplicated many of Aeroette's abilities. She even invented a clockwork bat in honor of the original Aeroette's pet and partner, Windy.
