Background
David Glass had it all. His parents were well off and they made sure David had the best education possible. They encouraged his love of machines. He was on his way to becoming a great engineer when something happened. He won't tell anyone what but whatever it was, it caused him to run. He signed aboard with a ragtag crew and has lost himself at the edge of the 'verse.
David died when the drop off on a job went bad. A stray bullet hit an anti-matter containment device and everything b to hell.
Physical Appearance
David isn't an amazingly attractive man but he does know how to dress. In the engine room he wears coveralls. Outside it, though, he prefers nice slacks, expensive shirts, and sports coats. He also has a pretty dapper newsboy cap.
Psychological Profile
David is cold and distant. He speaks with little inflection in his voice and trusts no one. He tries to let logic and not emotion dictate his actions. He is loyal to the crew because, so far, they have been loyal to him.

ASSETS
Highly Educated (Minor): David received a quality education and was working on his master's degree when he left school. David gains a +2 step Intelligence bonus on any Knowledge-based skill roll when trying to recall information.
Mechanical Empathy (Minor): Some people joke that David is almost a machine himself, so maybe it makes sense that he can understand how machines work better than most. For the cost of a given number of plot points, David gains an intuitive knowledge about what is wrong with a particular device. In addition, when he spends the plot points he gains a +2 step bonus to Mechanical Engineering when trying to fix the device in question.
Total Recall (Major): David's brain is like a computer. He doesn't forget anything. It is something he regrets. David gets a +2 step bonus to any action in which this trait might came in handy. He may also spend a plot point to remember, verbatim, every detail of a past event or encounter.
COMPLICATIONS
Combat Paralysis (Minor): Though he is a cool character, David still isn't used to actual combat. When combat starts, David can't take action for D2 turns. He can spent a number of plot points equal to the number rolled to shake it off.
Twitchy (Minor): David can't bring himself to trust anyone and he's always looking for signs of betrayal. So far, the crew has proven trustworthy but even they need watching. David's attitude and lack of trust shows in how coldly he treats people. He suffers a -2 step penalty to all Influence actions in social situations.
