The Foreigner Corporation Mining Mate mark 2 is a follow-up to the successful Mining Mate mark 1 series. Unlike their larger cousins, the mining mates are designed to suppliment a crew instead of replacing them. At a price of 1400 credits, the mark 2 is also a lower cost alternative to larger mining robots. The mining mate possesses photonic, thermal, motion, and auditory sensors. Pressure plates placed under a thin layer of metal "skin" allow it to better examine mines for structural problems and new veins of ore. The mark 2 comes equipped with mineral recognition software to help it sort out the good rocks from the bad. It can act independently or accept voice commands. It has a variety of tools built in to help with the actual retrieval of rock including a rock drill, chainsaw, mining laser, and grabbing claw. In addition, the mark 2 can carry up to three explosive charges inside a chest cavity, allowing it to act as an assistant in controlled demolitions.

Tough as Nails (Major) - The mark 2 was designed to work in the hostile, underground conditions.
Total Recall (Major) - Since the mark 2 is a robot with a CPU for memory, it never forgets unless there's a software glitch or hardware problem.
Two Fisted (Major) - The mark 2 is made of metal. Even getting whapped with the grabbing claw is going to hurt some.

COMPLICATIONS
Mute (Major) - While the mark 2 will take voice commands it has no voice of it's own. The only way to get data from the robot is to plug a datapad into it.
Ugly as Sin (Minor) - It ain't pretty. Even for a robot it ain't pretty.

• Mining Chainsaw (d10 W): A powerful chainsaw designed to slice through rock.
• Armor (3W): The mining mate's metallic hide is reinforced to protect against falling rock and other mining hazards.
