Things got different now. I can’t say why as I’m honor bound not to divulge such information. Even here I worry someone might get sneaky eyes. I haven’t gotten much closer to finding my pa, but if all is to be believed, I have three cousins and he is dead. I don’t think he’s dead. Though I have no reason to be disbelieving that my cousins ain't my cousins. Got a new ship. One that were my pa's. It's all flashy and memorable. It reminds me of him. Gave the Dusty Cloud to my cousins. I already miss her but I know it’s the right choice. Vann thinks I am being sentimental and it’ll hinder my judgment. Mayhap he’s right. I guess I been in that sentimental mood lately. Vann asked the group why we'd be deciding to go come along if we'd have a chance at some honest peace. He asked us to think about that. I know we could've debated the state of the verse and the luck we'd come across. I saw no reason to hear anyone's answer. People decide things in their own time and I don't look that gift horse in the mouth if I'm gifted with a loyal crew. Me, however, I didn't need any thinking. I'd thought enough on my peace when I decided to leave the safety of my Uncle Birui's home for more dangerous worlds. I guess I have the same itch my brother had and it ain't gonna be scratched by sitting around in the lap of luxury.
