Rick "Chainsaw" Blades had it all. He was famous, had money, and was well on his way to becoming the champion of the wrestling league. Still, for league management, it wasn't enough. They wanted a perfect physical specimen and pressured Rick to try an experimental steroid. It worked. In fact, it gave him enhanced strength and bullet-proof skin. It also gave him horrible, agonizing spasms of pain. Disgusting with himself for giving into the pressure and putting stardom over his own health, Chainsaw retired and adopted a role as protector of Boston.
