Southern can never seem to make up his mind about how to appear. Images of him regularly change. A statue in his temple might be human one day and whistler the next. The one commonality is all have a dark stain on the palm of their left hand. He is absent minded and always experimenting. Legend states that the Forest Southern was born when he accidentally planted acorns instead of stones in an attempt to grow a city. Aeryn's rivers are said to have come from the accidental creation of a cup that always overflowed with water.
