The Yeti was captured in Siberia and shipped live to Soviet scientists for study. It was discovered that the beast would respond to certain tones, making it possible to train it. Under orders from the Kremlin, the scientists trained the Yeti to fight for the Soviet Union and it became a member of the People’s Heroes. There was always a handler with a series of pitch pipes close by, though. After the war the creature vanished.
